AREA FINANCE OFFICER (AFO)

The Division of Student Affairs is currently conducting a search for our AFO who is responsible for overseeing budget, accounting services, business affairs, position control, grant and contract administration, outside contracts, long range capital planning and related financial and resource services in the University's largest and most complex administrative organizational entities that support instructional, research, service, maintenance, construction and related activities.

Position Overview

The Student Affairs Area Finance Officer (AFO) is responsible for the management and oversight for all the planning and fiscal activities for the Division of Student Affairs. The AFO serves as a member of the Vice President for Student Affairs executive team. The AFO partners with the Division vice president, associate vice presidents, directors and other management staff to optimize division resources and personnel. The AFO ensures appropriate and prudent use of the Division’s funds, including permanent budget level (PBL), self-sustained, donated, service & activity fees, grants, and auxiliary self-supported budgets. The AFO provides services in support of the quality campus living, learning and working environment consistent with the institutional strategic plan.
